Underground Pipe and Fittings

Manufactured to EN1401-1, 110mm and 160mm plastic underground pipe and fittings are lightweight for easy handling and installation, meeting health and safety requirements. The smoothness of plastic underground piping offers superior self-cleaning properties at low velocities. Suitable for domestic and commercial installations to a depth of ten metres. Can be used for foul and surface water applications.

Foul water is water from kitchens, bathrooms and utility rooms . Surface water is rainwater. Modern drainage systems keep foul and surface water apart in separate drains. Older properties may have rainway discharged into into a foul drain and the rainwater is discharged via gulley traps to stop foul air escaping from the drains.

Plastic underground pipe is a cost effective alternative to clay pipes, its robustness means less breakage and no special tools are required for the cutting of the pipes. Plastic pipe can also be used with existing clay installations.

Our comprehensive range includes bends, Y- Junctions, couplers, gullies and access fittings to meet the demands of all drainage layouts. A range of couplers to allow plastic pipe to be joined to existing clay pipe installations are available.

Underground Gullies	Manhole/Inspection Chambers

Shallow manhole/access chambers are used with 110mm underground pipe where the depth of application will not exceed 600mm.

Manhole covers combined with risers and chamber bases for 110mm and 160mm pipe can be used to depths up to a maximum of 3 metres. Any chamber deeper than 1.2 metres must have a 350mm reducer fitted to prevent man entry and comply with building regulations.

Adoptable Drainage

Where domestic/commercial drainage joins the mains sewer , we are able to offer adoptable drainage schemes. Areco can offer PVC-WIS4-35-01 pipes with diameters up to 600mm diameter and HDPE BBA pipes with diameters up to 2100mm, both offering savings to the contractor with regard to the clay and concrete alternatives.
